To improve access to the showground, and to help eliminate some of the problems we have encountered over the last few years, we have set up a new system for entry to the site, as from the 2011 Steam Fair. The will be three gates, logically numbered 1, 2, and 3. All Exhibitors and Traders will enter via gate No 2 and will be issued with a new style vehicle pass which is to be affixed to the rear view mirror,(this is to avoid the age old problem of having to secure the pass to the windscreen).

Because of ever tightening Health and Safety laws we are having to implement a no entry at Gate 2 after 1030 am. Any late arrivals will unfortunately be directed to the Public car park via Gate No 3, and will be unable to pull on to the showground for that day until 5.pm, without the express permission of their section marshall.

We have always tried to avoid too many rules for the site, so as to continue our reputation as a friendly rally. Unfortunately nowadays  the increasing regulations and litigation are making it harder, year by year to put on a show. However our members are determined to keep ahead of the buerocracy and keep on Steaming. We therefore hope you will help us by following the rules and make the 2011 Steam Fair the most enjoyable so far. We look forward to seeing you all in August and hope you have a very enjoyable time.
